Kris Allen make airplay jumpsWow, your headline makes it sound like these songs are getting thousands of spins . LOL. Truth be told, these songs are barely being played. Lee's song received 117 spins while Kris's song received 79 spins. Neither one is exactly burning up the charts! These are both very mediocre songs by very mediocre singers. I don't see either song doing that well, but if I had to pick one I would have to give the edge to Lee. The only way these boys are going to be successful is if the media develops an interest in them. So far wow po, the media is NOT interested in Kris Allen. The jury is still out with regard to Lee. In other words, there has to be some buzz. Neither of these two is remotely interesting, and I guess the lack of media attention they have received thus far proves it. Bottom line, they are NOT stars. In order to be a star, you have to exhibit personality, charisma, etc. Kris definitely has neither. I'm willing to give Lee some time to prove himself. Let's see what happens when he starts making the rounds on the various talk shows, etc. to promote his album.Until a song receives at least 1000 spins, it's not burning up the charts. Lee is more charismatic than Kris, but I think Kris is a better singer. I don't like Lee's single (I think it's very generic), but I do like Alright With Me, and also wondered why they released The Truth first (that song is boring). I still feel Adam and Crystal should have won, and both will have stronger careers than Kris and Crystal (though we haven't gotten any releases from Crystal yet, of course) Acheter Des PO. Adam still has two songs that are receiving about 3500 spins apiece, WWFM and IIHY, and IIHY is still doing well on the Hot AC and AC charts. He said nothing was going on above his neck!! That's right. His facial expressions were tantamount to those of one who's had botox for years. Whereas Adam has had nothing but AWESOME things to say about Kris, how talented and fun he is and that he's a true musician and a great singer. So yeah. It's not really healthy to continue to obsess 18 months after the fact. Find something constructive to do with your time.Oh, and Alright With Me is just alright with me. But I do like Sweet Serendipity. It's a bouncy little tune and I like Lee's inflections throughout the song. I would have preferred to hear a different song from him as well as the debut, but I can understand why RCA went with this one. It will capture attention of non-Idol watchers. That is really what is important in the aftermath of Idol, except of course for those few lost souls who continue to stalk these kids long after the confetti has fallen for them (or not, in some cases. see above)Please do not group Lee with Kris. He may not be the best singer in the world but he is a nice guy who did not have to cheat to win. Why should Lee's fans have to hear the crazy Allen fans talk about how Kris "won' when everyone knows Kris could not out sing Adam on the best day of his life. Look at Adam's success and Kris's lack of it. It is Allen's fans that need to man up and stop pretending that the results were accurate. Crystal and Lee do not have this fan friction because because neither is a cheater.
